CBIMS Mobile was commissioned by GCBS under Pact SA, in September 2015 to enable NPO community workers to utilise either mobile phones or tablets to electronically collect data from service delivery points and feed into the web-based CBIMS. The system runs on an open source platform called Commcare, developed by Dimagi and based on ODK Collect which was developed by the University of Washington.

The system runs on Android Smartphones.
